a form of poetry
The concept was to juxtapose the loftiness of poetry and the stereotypical views of rap lyrics. If rap lyrics were depicted with differently with typography, can it be revered as academic poetry? Many hip-hop artists, like Tupac, have intentional structure to their lyrics. Their structure is usually "academically" accepted as a poetic technique.
